Born in Missouri and raised in Vegas, that’s what he tell's most people who ask him where he is from. It’s usually a great conversation starter, especially for those who have actually been to both places. Talk about going from one end of the spectrum to the other. Anyway, welcome to his Blog! A blog focusing around Rich Internet Applications (RIA), usability design, going green and the occasional personal blurb.
With more than 10 years experience in the information technology industry, Josh has applied his technical acumen to produce creative solutions to meet his client’s needs by utilizing the latest technologies for Rich Internet Application (RIA) development, such as Adobe Flex. Josh has been using Adobe Flex since version 1.5, was on the Beta program for Flex 2.0, 3.0 and the newly released Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR). Josh is skilled in the use of Design Patterns and Object Oriented programming and has been using the Cairngorm framework since its introduction by Adobe Consulting. During his time in the industry Josh has obtained experience in Database design, SQL, JavaScript, Action script, ColdFusion, CSS, XML, AMF Flash Remoting, Live Cycle Data Services, UI Design, ColdSpring Framework, AJAX Spry framework, Dynamic Report Generation, Extreme Programming, SDLC and Project Management. He strongly believes in code reuse and leveraging best practices in the development process. Josh holds a BS and a Masters in Information Management from Washington University School of Engineering, he also holds a BA in Music from College of the Ozarks.
As a native Missourian, he loves the outdoors. A few of his hobbies pertain to being outside such as camping, mountain biking, boating, and golfing. Hobbies like these help him appreciate the world around so he tries to do his part to take care of it.
